The Brainwave
database is a great choice for data integration. You can import tables
from most major databases and merge the rows into one Brainwave
database. Since the Brainwave database is like one big repository (with
different attributes or columns possible for each record), structural
differences of tables in each source database are not a problem.
Not only that,
but once imported, the data is also automatically indexed for complex
analytical queries and data-warehousing applications. You can also
create aliases or mappings for column names and preserve foreign key
relationships from Oracle or SQL Server for better indexing and
integration. Brainwave's GUI tools for data import provide wizards to
make this possible in just a few steps.
In addition to
the GUI tools, Brainwave supports an XML or JSON enabled REST API for
data import and export. Once the records are within Brainwave, you can
export it to comma-separated-values (CSV) for re-import into another
database, provide SOA integration for J2EE or .Net applications via XML
web services or even subscribe to them as an RSS feed!
